Winnie the Pooh album

A newly completed Winnie the Pooh album. There are pockets on the inside front and back covers which are great for storing special keepsakes. Included in the album are lots of spaces for putting pictures and journaling those special moments!

Happy Thanksgiving a few days early!  Tonight we are having a Ladies fellowship at our church.  We have bought everything so none of the ladies have to cook.  We wanted to treat the ladies before the business of the holidays.  Another lady in our church, who is amazing when it comes to decorating,  has done all the decorating of the tables and they look gorgeous!  If I remember I will post pictures later.  I made these little turkey favors that I made from http://kthomdesigns.blogspot.com/2012/09/reeses-turkeys.html . Mine look a bit different, but I am still pleased with them.  I will have to make more for our Thanksgiving dinner her on Thursday.  I will be back next week with some more craft sale items.  Thanks again for looking.
Excuse the glue string!  I'm going to go and remove it right now!!

Well, we survived Hurricane Sandy very well, but my thoughts and prayers are with all those who did not fare so well, and some of them were within 2 - 3 hours of us.  Today I have some stand up desk calendars.  They are made from card stock and a chipboard coaster covered with pattern paper and a calendar attached to the front.  These are a lot of fun to make.

 Here are some feminine ones
and some more masculine onesYou cannot read the saying clearly, but it says "Dates in calendar are closer than they appear". I will be selling these for $4.00 each.

I also made some key fobs.  These were soooo much fun!  They are great for keys, but other ideas could be those little tiny flash drives that my kids are always misplacing , flashlights, and many other things.  They are to be worn around the wrist.  I just love these little monkeys.

Sorry some of the pictures look brownish.  I think my pictures turn out better when I do not use the flash.  I am slowly learning.  These I will be selling for $5.00 each.  Thanks for looking and trust that you all have a Blessed Day!

I have been busy the last few days, but that means I now have something to share with you.  My posts will be more frequent as my craft fairs get closer.  Today I have a little gift purse to share with you.

These are very fun to make!  You start with a 6 x 6 piece of scrapbook paper or card stock.  I made these a little different than the way I usually make them.  I used my Spellbinders nestablility dies to make the flap.  I then attached a flat-backed adhesive pearl as my button on the front of the flap and attached velcro to the back of the flap so it would stay shut.  A ribbon makes the handle of the purse.  I then put an Avon lip balm in the purse.  This is the way I will be selling them.

But this could be removed and they will easily hold a gift card or money!  What lady wouldn't love a purse for their birthday or Christmas with a gift card or money already in it?  These make perfect teacher gifts for the female teachers!
Here are some Christmas purses I made.
And here are some everyday purses that I made.

I will be selling these at my craft fairs for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00.  My first craft sale is at Townsend on November 10 at the fire hall.  I have a few more after that.  I am really excited about doing this one as I did fairly well there last year.  I will be posting a little more frequently as I am really pushing to get things done now.  Hope you have enjoyed these purses and maybe I'll see you in Townsend!

Finally, another post!  I have been busy getting a few things made for craft sales.  As I finish each project completely, I will be posting pictures.  These are little post-it note books complete with their own pen.  Each background is embossed, which doesn't show up very well in the pictures.  I will be selling these for $3.00 each or 2/$5.00.

Here is a picture of the inside:

Here are some of the flowered themed ones,

 Some pet themed ones,
and some miscellaneous ones.

Here they are altogether.  I hope they sell well.  Well, I am off to do some more crafting.

Hello.  Please don't get discouraged with me.  Please, please, please.  I promise another post very soon.  I am getting ready for the craft fair season and I will post my crafts as I complete them.  Right now I am working on gift card holders, so maybe by Sunday I will have a new post.  And thank you to whoever keeps looking to see if I have updated!

In the meantime, here are a few photos of a wedding album I made for my sister for her wedding almost two years ago.  Her wedding colors were red and black. And yes, there was a groom, but I think he would prefer to not have his picture on here, but he was there.  He had just gotten out of the hospital a few days before and was not feeling well at all.  Their first and last names all began with K, hence the "K".

Hope you enjoy, and keep watching.  I will get more regular, I promise, although I am not going to be an everyday blogger.

50th Anniversary

We recently celebrated my parents 5oth Wedding Anniversary.  I wanted to give them something to remember this momentous occasion that would be unique and one of a kind and this is what I came up with.

I purchased a wooden photo cube from Michael's.  I then painted it white.  I had some gold paper that I cut out as frames for each side and the top and used modge-podge to adhere them. I found a mirror stand with swans on it that had wings tipped in gold.  I added adhesive letters to the back of the mirror that said 50 years.  I hot glued flowers and then hot glued the whole thing to the top of the box which is actually a cover.

On the back of the mirror I added more of the gold paper.  I added adhesive pearl swirls and a K and Company sticker.

The top of the box is actually a cover so I made a little memory book and placed inside the box.  We got all those who came in to give them best wishes to sign it.

I made a card to go with the box.  I used gold paper and K and Company flowers.

They were white with gold centers.  I used Tattered Angel's gold mist and sprayed the flowers to achieve gold ones.  I also did this with the flowers on the box.  I added rhinestone swirls from Recollections and a contrasting gold paper punched with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set.

I was quite pleased with the over all results.  I hope to begin posting more regularly on here.  Thanks for looking!
