These are very fun to make! You start with a 6 x 6 piece of scrapbook paper or card stock. I made these a little different than the way I usually make them. I used my Spellbinders nestablility dies to make the flap. I then attached a flat-backed adhesive pearl as my button on the front of the flap and attached velcro to the back of the flap so it would stay shut. A ribbon makes the handle of the purse. I then put an Avon lip balm in the purse. This is the way I will be selling them.
But this could be removed and they will easily hold a gift card or money! What lady wouldn't love a purse for their birthday or Christmas with a gift card or money already in it? These make perfect teacher gifts for the female teachers!
Here are some Christmas purses I made.
And here are some everyday purses that I made.
I will be selling these at my craft fairs for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. My first craft sale is at Townsend on November 10 at the fire hall. I have a few more after that. I am really excited about doing this one as I did fairly well there last year. I will be posting a little more frequently as I am really pushing to get things done now. Hope you have enjoyed these purses and maybe I'll see you in Townsend!
Teresa, these little purses are so cute!!! Hope you sell lots of them - you are so right - any lady would love one of these with a gift card in them!!! Well done as usual!!! All the best on your sale, and will be looking forward to your next post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your thoughts and prayers for the passing of my mom.
ReplyDeleteWhile I still feel a void, I'm getting back into the swing of things and should be posting to my blog within the next few days. These little purses are just too cute! My granddaughters would love these. Will be back a bit later to take a closer look!
Hi Teresa! I heard on the news that you were hit pretty hard by the storm...my heart goes out to you and everyone in the path of the storm. I pray that everything is OK!
